All sold. Chevrolet has not yet officially started production of its new
Corvette C8, but reservations have gone so well that in fact
all the units programmed for the American market have already been reserved.
Of course, we're talking about a
60,000 dollar sports vehicle but not a one-off. Chevrolet will continue to offer its
Corvette mid-engine and ideally i
n the coming years the vehicle will also receive several updates. But those who dreamed of getting behind the wheel of the new acclaimed Stingray unfortunately will have to put their heart at rest: if they have not already ordered the car, they will have to wait. And also a lot.
Production was ready to begin in these months, but strikes by GM plant staff have postponed the start of production in February 2020. Added to this is the fact that
all 40,000 units of the Corvette C8 have already been reserved. Now we inevitably have to register on a waiting list, and wait for at least 2021.
We do not know if the data also refers to the convertible version, and Chevrolet did not respond in this regard: it would still be an amazing result. The first
Chevrolet Corvettes C8 will be delivered towards the spring of 2020. The very first unit will instead be auctioned in January. The proceeds of the auction will go to the Detroit Children's Fund.
Meanwhile, although production has yet to begin,
Hennessey is already thinking of a 1200 hp Corvette.
