Genovation GXE - The 800HP Electric Corvette
Genovation presented at the Ces of Las Vegas the production version of the GXE, an electrical evolution of the iconic Corvette. Being a real conversion, the eight-cylinder of the American sport was eliminated and replaced with an electric motor of 800 hp and 948 Nm connected to the serial transmission: the GXE is in fact available both with a manual gearbox with seven speeds, both with an automatic transmission.
Unique details
In addition to the front splitter, the new bumper and the modified bonnet, the GXE features a large carbon fiber extractor mounted at the rear and combined with a modified wing and new LED light clusters integrated into the tail which is almost completely redesigned compared to the standard model. The finish of the body is made by applying 15 coats of paint and each model will have a unique color, made to customer specifications.
Limited Series
For the moment, the company has not yet released all the technical details of the car, limiting itself to providing the power of the electric motor and some information on performance.
Thanks to the 800 hp of the unit mounted on the front, the GXE can shoot from 0 to 100 km / h in about 3 seconds and touch a maximum speed of 354 km / h, offering a range of about 280 km. Among the exclusive features of this model stand out the carbon fiber rims and the carboceramic braking system that go together with redesigned and finished Alcantara interiors.
The Genovation will build only 75 GXE, each of which will be proposed with a starting price of 750 thousand dollars, equivalent to 627,444 euros.
