C8 Chevy Corvette Z06 heard in spy video!

Immagine
Almost a year has passed since the official presentation of the latest generation Chevrolet Corvette , the C8 . Now, however, it seems that its extreme variant, the Z06 , is already in the process of running in the test phase to land on the market as soon as possible. As you can see from the spy images taken by the guys from  Motor1 , two specimens of Z06 have been caught and each of them shows its large exhausts in a central position.  The first model of Corvette Z06 is the one with a rigid roof, while the second is in a convertible version. It is not easy to understand it, given the really heavy camouflage, but by observing the roof lines of the second prototype well, you can see the solutions to the continuity of the lines. The most important change however concerns the exhaust system, which immediately catches the eye. The rumors about the next generation Z06 were going to reject the setup with outlets at the corners, and apparently proved to be true, even if the test veh...

Corvette C8 2020 by Hennessey Performance - First Test!

Immagine
1.200 HP OBJECTIVE - The first Corvette of 2020 took the path of Hennessey Performance Engineering . Thanks to a couple of turbos, the tuning company had announced that it wanted to get 1,200 hp from the supercar. The car is already in operation, although it could take some time before seeing them touch 1,200: Hennessey has in fact revealed that the transmission control unit is impossible to modify and it is not known when it will be able to develop it. Consequently, it will need the support of the parent company to make the most of the twin-turbo configuration. FIRST TEST - Even without intervening on the Corvette control unit, the tuner was not discouraged and put the car on the test bench recording something like 675 HP, 180 HP more than the 495 in the standard configuration . Of course Hennessey will not be the first or the last to try to derive extra performance from the new Corvette C8: waiting for their 1,200 hp monster, we will see who else will throw the gaun...

1967 LT1 C2 Corvette humiliates modern supercars!! - VIDEO

Immagine
To beat a modern car do you need another modern car? Not even an idea: this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is able to humiliate some of the most famous modern supercars . A breathtaking video shows the determination of what, apparently, is a car of another era. Obviously behind these performances there is the hand of a skilled work of elaboration. Under the bonnet we find a 6.2L LT1 , an extremely high-performance V8 . Even the exhausts have been replaced with a version designed for sports use. The video in question was recorded during the 2018 Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack. The Chevrolet was able to win every single race, and also with a fairly solid margin. The vehicle touched s peed peaks between 252 and 280 km / h . A result to say the least amazing for a classic 1967 car. The LT1 engine was boosted thanks to the use of two turbos, with the result that the vehicle went from the original 460 hp associated with the engine to a power of 900CV . The vehicle was subjected t...

2019 Corvette ZR1 Spotted At The Nurburgring

Immagine
The ZR1 , the most powerful Corvette ever, takes measurements on the Nurburgring circuit. The American supercar was filmed during some test tests on the German track. As you can see, the model in question looks like a prototype but it is very close to the production version. At the Nurburgring the ZR1 watches since its presentation at the Detroit Motor Show in January. The American car wants to become the third car to fall under the 7-minute track limit . The track record is held by the Porsche 911 GT2 RS in 6’47″3. A record won by the Lamborghini Huracan Performante who had stopped the clock in 6’52″01. In the viewfinder there is however the Dodge Viper ACR . Beating its time of 7'01''3 would mean to be the fastest American car and most likely to fall under the 7-minute limit. The potential is there all. The ZR1, as mentioned, is the most powerful Corvette ever. The mighty 6.2-liter V8 produces 755 horsepower, unpar...
