Waiting for the official launch in spring, the new generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has proven its performance by downloading on the asphalt of the Virginia International Raceway the 765 hp and 968 Nm of maximum torque delivered by the 6.2 LT5 V8 engine.  On the 5.26 km track located at Alton (Virginia), the Corvette 's most successful and fastest variant has set a new record by stopping the clock at 2 minutes 37.25 seconds .
