Corvette ZR1 2019: from 0 to 60 mph in 2.85 seconds

The Corvette ZR1 proves to be strong even on the straight with its supercharged V8 755 hp, shooting from 0 to 96 km / h in just 2.85 seconds.

In the sports market the Chevrolet Corvette has always been an icon and the ZR1 variant represents the most powerful version of the american supercar. With 755 hp released from the supercharged 6.2 V8, in fact, she managed to get behind the fast Ford GT on the Virginia International Raceway.

But that's not all, because Corvette Blogger has recently discovered its acceleration data thanks to statements from the model Product Manager, Harlan Charles. Well, the time on 0-60 mph (0-96 km / h) is around 2.85 seconds. The shot from zero up to 100 mph (160 km / h) takes place in 6 seconds, while the quarter mile (0-400 m) is covered in 10.6 seconds with an output speed of 215 km / h.

Compared to the previous 650 hp C6 Z06 there has been an improvement, but not an exploit. In fact, the latter can reach 60 mph in 2.95 seconds and travel the quarter mile of 10.95 seconds. Data demonstrating how, in three years of evolution, Corvette engineers have achieved the most from their front-engine sports car.

Performance and driveability also testify, as the Corvette is a sports car that can represent a real alternative to the European ones; after all, the results gained in the duration competitions in the past years are explanatory of its qualities
