The arrival of the Chevrolet Corvette C8 has revolutionized the identity of the American sports car: after decades of rumors the central engine has arrived, changing the behavior on the road and the meaning that the new generations will give to the "Vette" brand. A different and more technologically advanced sports car: the year zero was also for tuners.


It is no coincidence that the generous offer of the tuners, which had characterized the previous generations, is now greatly reduced. Thanks to ProCharger today we have the opportunity to see, and above all hear, the first Corvette C8 equipped with a volumetric compressor. The 6.2-liter LT2 V8 goes from 502 to an impressive 708 hp! One of the major obstacles to the Corvette's new generation aftermarket treatments is its ECU, now hacker-proof and once reprogrammable and key to balanced processing.


Prior to ProCharger, Extreme Turbo Systems had bypassed the safety system and equipped the Vette C8 with a turbocharger that allows it to deliver over 700 hp.Hennessey went further by obtaining 1,200 hp thanks to a double turbocharger, although it is not clear whether they have altered the ECU or found an alternative solution. Over 1,000 hp also the monstrous Corvette from Late Model Racecraft, equipped with a similar supercharging system.


The ProCharger kit does not yet have a date or a price, the American company has simply invited interested Corvette C8 owners to follow it on social channels. The tuner / ECU story will not stop there, General Motors is clearly opposed to any intervention that makes its cars less safe. On the other hand, tuners and enthusiasts will always find more ingenious methods to enhance them.

C8 Chevy Corvette Z06 heard in spy video!

Almost a year has passed since the official presentation of the latest generation Chevrolet Corvette , the C8 . Now, however, it seems that its extreme variant, the Z06 , is already in the process of running in the test phase to land on the market as soon as possible.
