The Corvette C2 Stingray that speaks Italian

If you are real purists and can't conceive of a vintage car that is not 100% original, you better change page. If you are passionate about American cars, and maybe you'd get a Chevrolet Corvette C2 Stingray especially, this is the place. Particularly it means that from the outside it is a historical in every respect, but it brings with it all the comforts given by modern technologies.

To create this car is the company Ares Design, based in Italy, specifically in Modena. The most important change is the engine: in fact, under the hood of this car there is an LS3 engine, much more powerful than the original.

In fact, it is the one mounted on the Corvette C6, produced between 2005 and 2013. It is a 6.2 liter V8, which is able to deliver a power of 518 horses. Obviously, mounting this engine required other work, including installing a different tank, new wheels, muffler and a five-speed manual transmission.

But it's not just under the hood that the Ares team has worked on. In fact, many things have been done in the interior and in the bodywork. Outside the paint has been redone in black, and in the cockpit there is a new leather upholstery, new seats and a latest generation of electronics.

Among these things there is a hidden 500 Watt Alpine stereo and 8-inch subwoofer, USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity. At the front there are wheels with 19-inch wheels, and 20 in the rear. The lights are LED, for better lighting.

The final product is the result of a work of over 3,500 total hours, which is carried out in 12 weeks. Also for this reason, considering the labor of high quality workers to make a product like this, the price seems to be included in a band ranging from 350,000 euros to 400,000.
