If you are passionate about American cars , and maybe you'd get a Chevrolet Corvette C2 Stingray especially, this is the place.  Particularly it means that from the outside it is a historical in every respect, but it brings with it all the comforts given by modern technologies. To create this car is the company Ares Design , based in Italy, specifically in Modena . The most important change is the engine: in fact, under the hood of this car there is an LS3 engine , much more powerful than the original. In fact, it is the one mounted on the Corvette C6 , produced between 2005 and 2013. It is a 6.2 liter V8 , which is able to deliver a power of 518 horses. The development of the new Corvette C8 continues, with the task of writing a new chapter in the history of the model: sixty-five years after the debut of the first series, it will adopt a centrally mounted power unit . After a series of shots from afar collected in recent months, the photographers have managed to bring the prototypes closer, allowing us to see new details of the American sports car , whose presentation is expected during this year. Although the camouflage, the car has very different proportions compared to previous generations, with a short snout, a forward-facing cockpit, a sloping roofline and a long tail.   This last portion lets you glimpse squared lines combined with a compact size rear window and four exhaust terminals. Waiting for the official launch in spring, the new generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has proven its performance by downloading on the asphalt of the Virginia International Raceway the 765 hp and 968 Nm of maximum torque delivered by the 6.2 LT5 V8 engine.  On the 5.26 km track located at Alton (Virginia), the Corvette 's most successful and fastest variant has set a new record by stopping the clock at 2 minutes 37.25 seconds . A time that, in fact, exceeds the 2 minutes 38.62 seconds of the Ford GT , and 2 minutes 43.10 seconds of the Porsche 918 Spyder . The record was achieved thanks to the use of the extreme high-downforce package with showy front splitter and a bulky rear wing adjustable in carbon fiber that provides 430 kg of downforce.
